Watch out world!

On Friday, McCoy had kindergarten testing. I can't believe he starts school in the fall. Where has the time gone? Four of my kiddos will be in school. Wow. Anyway, I digress. So, Coleman, Madden and I had to wait outside the gym for the 45 min McCoy was being tested. He was scheduled for 2:00 which meant we would be there when school got out. The bell rang for dismisssal and my little 2 yr old runs to the hall. I quickly jump to move him from being trampled by all of the kids running out for the bus (including my 3 oldest), but what does Coleman do? He assumes the sumo wrestler pose and begins to growl at the 5th graders coming at him. What am I going to do with that one?

My little cooking companion

Every evening you can find my sweet little Madden perched on the island in his Bumbo. He loves to sit and "chat" with me while I cook dinner. I absolutely love to hear his laugh as he tries to reach some ingredient he shouldn't have. One day soon, I'll be able to blame any cooking mishap on Madden's help :)

Daddy's Birthday Surprise

On Tuesday the three little boys and I were getting ready for the day. McCoy asked me his standard question of "What are we doing today?". I told him we were going to get Dad's birthday present. After explaining that we wouldn't be going to Walmart (the only store McCoy likes) but to a golf course to buy a pass, McCoy promised he wouldn't tell Dad. A short while later Tyson walks in the door as we are getting ready to leave. He of course asks where we're going. McCoy responded," Well, we're definitely not going to a golf course." Tyosn cracked up. I got frustrated and McCoy said,"What? I didn't tell him. I said we WEREN'T going to a golf course." Techinically, he was right. He didn't actually tell him :)

Happy Birthday Babe!

Tyson turned 34 this week! WOOHOO! We had to wait to celebrate his birthday until Friday because he was in church meetings all Wed night. He chose to celebrate by having "Death on a Bun". It was actually yummy if you didn't think about your arteries clogging :) We had cheeseburgers with bacon and eggs on them. YUM! We also had yummy brownies with white chocolate frosting and cookie dough ice cream. Happy Birthday Babe! We sure love you!

Spell Bowl 2011

Mairah competed in the district spell bowl for the second year in a row. She did awesome! She spelled all of her words correctly. It made me so nervous to sit and watch her spell each word. Tyson joked that I was more nervous than she was. Probably :) Her 4th grade team came in 4th out of 11 schools. We're so proud of you Rye!
